A city located in Mobile County Alabama, Grand Bay is included in the Mobile Metropolitan statistical area. The city is situated along the US Route 90, around the midpoint of the Mississippi state line. The city covers 8.7 square miles according to the United States Census Bureau. More than 99% of the city is land.

The population of this city is 3,672 residing divided into 1,078 families. The population density of Grand Bay is 452.3 people per square mile. The racial markup 89% whites, 8.88% Blacks, and the rest are from other races.

65.5% of the population consists of middle-aged married couples. The family size on average is 3.19 and household size is 2.81. The median age is 36 years. The median income for a family is $43, 654 and for a household is $38,941. The population below the poverty line is 8.1% and the per capita income is $15,741.

Grand Bay falls under the Mobile County Commission and the commissioner is Jerry Carl. The current representative of the Alabama Legislature is David Sessions (a native of Grand Bay). Grand Bay is famous for its agriculture, as the city is known for producing large quantities of fruits and vegetables. Among its largest exports are peaches and oranges, which are shipped to different parts of the world.

It is an attractive place for the tourists as well. Traditionally, there is a Watermelon Festival at the start of July every year. In this festival, people enjoy watermelons with live music and arts and crafts. This region experiences hot summers with an average temperature of 32 degrees.
